Sharis is a well-defined songstress and experienced musician who opens her heart and shares her soul at every show.  Born in nearby Philadelphia , Pa., she is a singer, songwriter, an acoustic guitarist and an energetic performer.  She is a musical healer who is grace in action with her diverse vocals and driving rhythms.  Her original songs explore themes of freedom, love, nature, aspiration, and connection with others and music. Her sound spans from life's gentle songs to powerful folk-blues-funk-rock with soul-inspired vocals and a grooving edge.

Sharis is a versatile performer in how and what she plays.  She loves to share her original material and sometimes performs solo.  Sharis is currently one of the singers in a group called Union Dues, made up of four talented singer songwriters,  bringing exciting four part harmonies, originals and trumpet to the local music scene.  They share a folky-funky-country-rock sound with a lot of spirit!  She also performs with Gypsonica, an eclectic and dynamic duo, where she joins with singer songwriter Mir Stavola, sharing folk-rock and gypsy songs.  She also accompanies singer songwriter Heidi Winzinger.

She was the lead singer of a Mt. Holly-based Rock/Blues/Funk band called Sharis Band, formerly Madison Hotel for several years.  She is also a member of the all-female musical performance group, Genies.  Sharis regularly hosts an Open Mic at John and Molly's  at 1291 Woodlane Rd. in Eastampton, New Jersey( 9-12pm) every Tuesday night. She also is beginning a new Open Mic in the Princeton area on the first Thursday of each month at the Updike Farmstead 354 Quaker Rd, Princeton NJ (6:30-8:30 pm).
